Engaging in acts of art is not an adjunct to life. Rather, acts of art are indispensable rituals that are constant reminders of the stages of the lotus. Those stages are the seasons of our lives. If we stay rooted in the mud and remain pointed to the heavens, in season, our lives bloom.
